Stereo:Type on Freshold & Friends!

Tune in this Saturday afternoon from 3pm – 6pm to Freshold & Friends to check out a jaw dropping mix from Stereo:Type!

For the last show of 2012 Freshold & Friends something extra ridiculously special for you, the lucky listeners of Kane FM 103.7! Originally a breakbeat don known as Screwface, and kind enough to bless our very own Freshold with his skills by remixing his first vinyl release “Bring It On”; he then went on to start the Stereo:Type project with his house mate Dash; a former member of the duo, Ctrl-Z. The pair stepped straight to taking the world by storm in an unstoppable manner. However, not content with merely one head turning DJ/Producer outfit between them, they decided to split, with Dash starting a afresh as Skism, and Screwface dropping an exciting new era in the Stereo:Type story.

For anyone who’s unaware of what that new era entails, we will be playing the brand new Stereo:Type mix non stop from the first till the last second!

For anyone who’s unsure how privileged you are about to be; here’s a word from Stereo:Type himself, and a Tracklisting to let you know just how this guy takes care of business.

“Probably the most epic mixtape undertaking I have done so far. I wanted to make this one at least the length of a double CD comp, so you could see how I would go about doing one of my own. At just under 3 hours long, and nearly one track per minute this thing just does not let up the whole way through, but the focus is still squarely aimed at it being listenable/danceable. You may notice one or two things you have heard in a Stereo:Type mix before, but then, it’s about playing songs because you love them, not because they’re the latest thing…

A hell of a lot of work went in to doing this (as well as fun) and honestly, I think it deserves to be heard. There’s a lot of people who just sling shallow mixes and compilations out there for people to buy, so this is my response to that and to them. I’ll take you all on…
