Maisie from Dementia Alliance came in to The Culture and Community Show to talk about what it does and to raise awareness of something that touches millions of people in the UK today.
A Local Dementia Action Alliance brings together regional and local members to improve the lives of people with dementia in their area. They are the local vehicle to develop dementia friendly communities.
Ash Parish Dementia Action Alliance Aims are to:
- Promote care and support for carers
- Promote dementia awareness
- Improve accessibility for people living with and affected by dementia within the community.
They are a local group comprised of residents and partner agencies who want to contribute to improving the lives of people who are living with and affected by dementia.
You can join the Ash Parish Dementia Action Alliance. Individuals as well as businesses can join the Alliance. You need to have 3 actions to improve awareness or the lives of people living with dementia.
