About this Kane FM story
ALUNA is a Co-Creation Ritual Music Project of Steffen Kirchhoff and Maywa. Together they
create electro-organic-shamanic Medicine Music that invites the listener to open the heart and to re-connect with nature and the Origin of Life. Their Sound-Landscapes are shaped by Maywa’s voice and several instruments like shamanic drums, sansula, guitar and organic percussions supported by recordings of nature sounds and Steffens organic beats and dreamy ambient atmospheres.
From her deep connection and communication with nature and Mother Earth
Maywa receives the lyrics for her Medicine Songs and she can give the plants, spirits and elements a voice to translate and transport their messages to humanity.
On stage they perform sacred rituals and ceremonies to open a space of grounding, connection and gratitude that allows deep spiritual experiences and healing to take place.
The name „ALUNA“ is inspired by their connection and experience with the indigenous Kogi
People from Colombia. For the Kogi „ALUNA“ is the expression for the „Invisible Spirit Realm“, the thought process that shapes and maintains reality, the source and intelligence of life.
