About the event

Pierrepont Artwork Day brings together local makers working across woodwork, textiles, knitwear, sculpture, ceramics, watercolours, leatherwork, lino prints, jewellery, painting and furniture. Meet the artists, explore their work and find something special to take home.

What to expect

Enjoy food and drink including beer, wine, pizza, hamburgers and Italian ice cream. The event is presented in partnership with Farnham Craft Town. Admission and parking are free, and no booking is required.

Kids of Kane 1pm-3pm: Kane FM’s Kids of Kane party is a great place to have fun with your little ones. Watch the toddlers take over the dancefloor for the first time in a high-energy, safe environment.
The Lab 3pm-7.30pm: A dedicated space for people of all ages to get hands-on experience learning to mix. Plus a computer games room to play in together and lots of tasty food options. We’re working hard to add more fun activities, so keep an eye out for the social media updates.

This year we celebrated Record Store Day 2026, at Record Corner, Godalming, Surrey. The queue was as long as the day, perfect weather and a lovely gathering of those who love music, support and understand the importance of Independent record shops.

RSD 2026 release editions, something special, wanted or just a great find, these records were flying out the door as were the cool vibes from our DJs Jazz T, Miracle, Jazz Jon Messenger, Joe Flanagan, B2B - Backsound and Dom Hodge. 

A buzzing, and bubbling atmosphere all round, as were our RSD 2026 hosts  - The Record Corner Family, who took us all back on that day to the day when Independent record stores were rammed and rife up and down the country.

Record Store Day 2026 at Record Corner, was most definitely a memorable day for music, for all those that made it so.

Record Store Day returns on Saturday 18 April, and we’re celebrating in style at Record Corner in Godalming.

The shop will be open from 8am with hundreds of limited edition releases available throughout the day-perfect for collectors, crate diggers, and anyone who loves vinyl.

Kane FM will be broadcasting live from the shop with two special shows at 9am and 1pm, featuring a lineup of DJs bringing the soundtrack to the day.

DJs on the day include Jazz T & Miracle, Jazzjon, Joe Flanagan, Dom Hodge and Backsound.

Expect a mix of quality selections and a great atmosphere from start to finish.

The Spring Equinox says summer is almost here and it’s time to party!

This is an afternoon and evening of friends, good vibes, great music and dancing to our favourite DJs. Expect Progressive, Balearic, Afro, Melodic and Deep house sounds in the recently reimagined Lockwood Studios in Guildford.

DJs on the day will be Matt ‘King’ Cole, Tastexperience, David Coyle, Simon Zwa and Al Luckett. The breadth of their experience plying their craft is huge and it shows! Great selections and smooth transitions are their calling card as is the need to dance to their infectious rhythm and energy!

Doors open at 2pm with donations on the door please. The donations from this will be shared between KaneFM and Lockwood Studios - both are amazing community initiatives that benefit a lot of people in our local area!

One for the petrolheads 

Kane FM will be broadcasting live from the Bell & Colvill showroom in Guildford this Saturday 14th March, 9AM to 11AM as they kick off their New Season Breakfast Mornings.

Simon Zwa and Oska will be supplying the soundtrack for the morning from inside the showroom. There will be some exclusive cars on show, and we will be bringing the atmosphere straight to the airwaves.

The bar will be open throughout, serving a range of drinks to keep the good times flowing.

A sunny and super showy breakfast morning with proud owners of various Supermodel cars, Lotus, McLaren, Aston Martin, Lancia and a behind scene preview of the iconic sports coupe Ford Capri MK II.

 At cruise control, mixing their finest, DJs Simon ZWA and OSKA, complimented the super showy scene. A beautiful breakfast day it was, had by all. 

Ringing, whistling, buzzing, hissing, roaring, sometimes even music; each will have their own description.  A noise heard only by you the individual, where no outer sound source can be found. 

These noises come from inside/within the body and are a sign that you could be experiencing Tinnitus (originating from the Latin word “to ring”). It can be heard in one ear, both or may even feel like it’s coming from the head, often referred to as Head Noise.

Tinnitus sufferers worldwide run into millions in various age groups, including children. In the UK more than 10% of the population suffer from it. Some can manage it, whilst there are others whose lives are affected by it day to day - you are most definitely not alone.

Some may have it and be unaware of what it is. Temporary or permanent, it is a nuisance. 

Tinnitus is not an illness, neither is it a disease.

Known or stated causes are stress, anxiety, hearing loss, infection, head or ear injury, and exposure to loud sounds, including everyday traffic.

It is an occupational consequence to those within the music industry (the DJ, artist, MC, sound engineer, producer, composer, instrumentalist, nightclub staff, etc.), as well as military personnel, emergency services, teachers, dentists, certain athletes, agriculture, construction and factory workers.

Anyone exposed to loud sounds or in the vicinity of, especially if unprotected, will have some effect, not forgetting those listening via audio gadgets and smartphones at a high volume, or for a long period of time. Noise exposure is the volume of sound and the length of time it goes on for. The quieter the sound the longer you can listen.

Our ears are so delicate.

Our ears are not able to get used to these loud sounds levels, neither do they get tougher upon exposure. Upon unprotected exposure to loud noise, the ears sensitivity level will decrease as a measure of protection - there is only so much the ear can take. This usually starts with Tinnitus - that is a warning. 

The engineered sound levels output at gigs and events are not directed at the individual, but to fill the venue.

Simple ways to avoid tinnitus:

• Protect yourself with ear plugs in a noisy environment

• Give your ears a break

• Reduce volume and listening times

Most of us will experience a mild form of Tinnitus, after a loud gig/event, or in a noisy area. This is usually temporary.

Understanding this condition is vitally important in helping to manage and deal with. Anytime you feel you may be experiencing tinnitus, your first port of call is your GP. There are also world leading specialists in this field, Tinnitus UK, support groups and various therapies out there.

There is no cure, but research is continuously ongoing.

He is the founder and organiser of Guilfest, a festival put on by local people, with the aim that there is something for everyone to enjoy.
