About this Kane FM story
A noise from nowhere, that no one can hear, other than you. Ringing, buzzing, whistling or similar, in one ear, both or in the head, also known as Head Noise. That noise from nowhere could be Tinnitus.
Tinnitus is derived/inferred from the Latin word meaning ‘to ring’.
Its’ known causes are stress, anxiety, hearing loss, infection, and exposure to loud noise, continuously, in its various forms.
Tinnitus is common and universal. Children are also affected.
It affects many professions, as well as being an occupational risk. There is a risk in some sports, as well as anyone exposed to loud noise or in the vicinity of.
There is only so much the ear can take before it actually sets out to protect itself. This usually starts with Tinnitus. That is a warning.
It is important to protect and take care of those delicate ears, knowing how essential they are.
This year the British Tinnitus Association, Tinnitus Week theme is ISOLATION.
