An occupational hazard of the Musician, DJ, Teacher, Military Personnel, Construction, Agriculture and Factory workers, and anyone in the neighbourhood of loud noises.
Each sufferer will have their own description, similar to ringing, humming, buzzing, or whistling sounds in one ear, both or in the head – a noise with no outside source. That noise from nowhere could be Tinnitus – derived from the Latin word meaning to ring – also known as Head Noise.
Known causes are, stress, anxiety, infection, hearing loss, and exposure to louds sounds, including everyday traffic.
Tinnitus is common, universal, and there are millions of sufferers of various age groups, including young children.
It is neither a disease nor an illness, so understanding this condition is important in helping to deal and manage it, as well as checking with your GP, and the various support groups and sites.
There is still no cure, but research is ongoing.
