About this Kane FM story
Joe has been with Kane FM for a while now and plays only records. ‘I’ve been a vinyl collector for most of my life. I collect soul, blues, jazz, funk, disco, reggae, rock and roll, early rap/ hip hop and a little house’
Joe does not have a dedicated weekly slot owing to work commitments but presents around 2-shows a week.
‘I do love the weird and wonderful in music. My musical idols are Kool and the Gang, Aretha, Bobby Womack, George Benson, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Jackie Wilson, Abdullah Ibrahim, Miles Davis and many more. I love music in general, music to dance to, music to listen to, to make love to, music that makes you think or cry. Prior to being on Kane I have done mobile dj’ing in my teens but it was always an ambition to get on radio playing my sort of stuff with no restrictions and now, thanks to the guys at Kane FM I’ve got the opportunity. I may not be the best but I’m doing it!’
