About this Kane FM story
Although I knew what a mixer was, before I spent time at Kane FM, I didn’t know how to use one. During my second visit, I was shown how to use a mixer to create music. The piece of music I made at this visit sounded good.
I was given a copy of this music to keep and play to other people. Those who have listened to it and were surprised by how good it was. I felt proud.
I have also been shown how to use a piece of equipment called a launchpad. Launchpad makes sounds when tapped, which is another way to create music. I enjoy using the mixers and launchpad. I save the music I’ve made on the computer so I can listen to it again or share by email. I’m interested in the musical genre Grime. At Kane FM I wrote a PowerPoint presentation on the Grime artist, XXXtentacion. I would like to keep going to Kane because I enjoy it. I think I am learning a lot as I am being shown by others how to do things on a 1-1 basis, this makes it easier for me understand.
