Jose Solano is a musician, composer and producer born in San Jose, Costa Rica in 1980.
Solano’s love of music began when he was sixteen, where he tried new and different melodies with his first keyboards. He studied piano at the Yamaha Music School with Professor Jesus Castro, and studied singing with the famous Soprano Amelia Barquero.
This inspired the later development of a successful career in which he explores with different tones and textures of tribal and electronic sounds. He now works as a keyboard player with the renowned soloist Esteban Calderón while making his own music on the as well. He has shared the stage with important national and foreign artists such as the Spanish Russian Red, the Colombian Fonseca, and the Mexicans Jessy and Joy.
His own music draws influence from various artists, including Jean Michael Jarre , Depeche Mode and many more. This highlights his great taste for the electronic, and thanks to his multiple influences he manages to develop his original style with his own individual sound.
His most popular tracks include ‘Tambura’, ‘Marrakech’ and ‘Renaissance’ which all combine deep house electronic textures and beats to create an ambient and suspenseful sound which has come to be his iconic and unique musical testament.
Jose Solano’s music career is active and thriving. His discography already boasts 72 tracks and is set to increase even more. He has recently released a track called ‘Birds’ on SoundCloud and is currently working on an up and coming EP to be released in the coming months.
This experience and education all lead up to his most recent achievement in 2018, where he was nominated for an ACAM award for best electronic music producer in Costa Rica.
Jose Solano’s career has evolved with not only his own musical education and experiences, but his own natural musical talents.
