About this Kane FM story
For work experience, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with Kane FM. Kaya and I got to do many different activities to do with journalism and music. On Monday, we made our own house/electronic dance song using a piece of equipment called a launchpad. Tuesday, we were mixing different songs. And Wednesday, we recorded our own radio show, using our own music. Thursday, we went live on air and spoke to some listeners. Overall, the experience at Kane was amazing. I managed to learn loads of new skills (such as interview conduct and how to mix songs), and gained a lot of confidence and independence while working here. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is interested in the radio industry or music as it caters for both.
