Bass Invaders remotely caught up with Reggae artist Jah Screechy, currently based in Germany, to find out more about his forthcoming release. We asked the following questions:
- What was the inspiration behind the song?
JS: The lyrics had been written quite a while back - JS was listening to some music when The Maytones came on. He heard I Roy chatting on the version, which gave JS goose bumps, prompting him to do his own version.
- The most challenging side of the forthcoming release ?
JS: There was no real challenge just dealing with the mastering of the track.
- How did you find working with Cess Myers?
JS: A very good working relationship, and had fun doing the track. They had both previously worked together a few times, in Europe.
- Anything else upcoming, or currently in progress?
JS: Another track is in the making, with Soom T, currently waiting to be mixed, more talks with Cess Myers on future projects, and currently JS has his own Reggae Radio show on Chaaawaaa Radio Station.
