About this Kane FM story
My time at Kane FM has been great. Deciding to do work experience here has allowed me to have an in-depth look into what it takes to run a radio station. One of my most favourite activities was using the Launch Pad Pro because I was unfamiliar with the equipment and got to experiment with how to make music in a way I hadn’t thought of before. I also enjoyed mixing because I got to select tracks and find different ways to transitions from one to the other.
Presenting a live show was one of the more scarier things to do as it’s something I’ve never done but after speaking into the mic several times and introducing tracks, I soon got the hang of talking to a live audience even if I couldn’t see them!
I would recommend anyone who wants to go into the music industry to take up work experience at Kane as you get to use professional equipment as well as have an insight into the medium of radio.
