Hot off the heels of this year’s first Record Store Day (RSD) drop in June, Kane FM will be returning to Godalming’s Record Corner this Saturday 17th July for another live in-store session.
Join DJ Pabs (Cosmic Broadcast) and Floored Capri (World Beats) from 9-11am, kicking off your weekend in style with a strictly vinyl affair. Funk, Soul, Afro, Jazz, Reggae, Dub and plenty that’s in between. Music new and old from all over the globe.
Record Store Day is an annual event, started in 2007, when over 200 independent record shops all across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture and offer limited edition releases in small numbers. It’s advisable to arrive early if you have your eye on something specific and the Record Store Day queue has become something of a unique experience in itself!
Record Corner has played a crucial role in providing a musical outlet to our community since 1958, driving a consistently strong message centred around music and the arts. As a local community radio station striving to the same, it feels very fitting that we’re able to join forces for this special event in the annual calendar.
