The Surrey Rights and Participation Team (@SurreyRAPTeam) work with Children and Young People who access emotional wellbeing and Mental Health services across the county.

Mother Hen interviewed Danni Wilkinson the Senior Participation Officer for the Rights and Participation Team for CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Health Service) and SEND (Special Education Needs). Danni’s team give a voice to young people in the county accessing services to enable them to shape the service they want. They work closely with the local council and current service providers to help deliver positive change. Any child or young person accessing emotional health and wellbeing services in Surrey can access this body.

This is done through CYA (CAMHS Youth Advisors) and SYAS (SEND Youth Advisers)

The “Yes” Awards are going to be presented on November 2nd at the H.G. Wells Centre in Woking. To recognise young people’s and professionals achievements who have accessed SEND services.
