Keira will be joined live by Emmy Happisburgh — writer, lead actor, and creative soul behind the rave-fuelled stage hit Second Summer of Love. If you were lucky enough to catch the sold-out performance at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, you’ll know this play absolutely brought the house down. Set against the backdrop of the early 90s UK rave scene, Second Summer of Love is a high-energy, physical-theatre comedy that follows Louise — an ex-raver turned disillusioned Surrey mum — as she crashes back into her past. Along the way, the play revisits legendary moments from the scene, including trips to the iconic Sterns nightclub in Worthing — a true raving mecca that Carl Cox called “100% equivalent to the Hacienda of the South.”
Emmy, who grew up around Cranleigh and Guildford, and now teaches acting in Farnham, draws from deeply personal — and hilariously nostalgic — memories of growing up in the local area. From parties at Smithbrook Common’s Four Elms pub, to references to Alfold and Guildford, this is a love letter to the 90s rave scene and the characters that made it unforgettable.
