The Wellness Workout

For the next two weeks we’ll be playing out the Wellness Workout, think of a Joe Wicks workout for the mind. Staying focused and present is what we need to achieve in our everyday lives. Here we ask Wellness gurus and experts what can we do for two minutes each day to keep a healthy mind? And what should we be doing throughout the day to check-in on ourselves?

There will be a total of five community radio stations involved in this project (including Kane), each of which will have a 2 minute wellness workout and a 5 minute interview with an expert in the field. These will be broadcast on Kane FM across 12 days, the first going live at breakfast/drive time on March 14th. The aim of this project is to help people with their mental health and take some time out.

Kane FM’s contribution to the project consists of a mindfulness workout with Dr. Will Darling, an expert in the mindfulness field, who will guide you through a two minute workout for the mind. Alongside the two minute workout, there will be a five minute interview with Dr. Will Darling, where he will answer some questions regarding mindfulness.

The Beat (Harlesden), Uijma Radio (Bristol), EAVA FM (Leicester) and Westside (Ealing) are the participating stations and we look forward to sharing their wellness workouts, alongside ours.

The first three workouts will be by, Sandra Pollock OBE, Karen Liebenguth and Vishvapani. All experts in their field.
